Tennessee Rain - written by Lee Gibson & Jay Studdard
Well there ain't nothing else like a Tennessee Rain
Softer than a kiss it'll wash away the pain
hitting you so hard it can drive a man insane
No, there ain't nothing else like a Tennessee Rain
Last night I went down to the Double Deuce
I had to pick her up last night when her shift was through
We took a little drive down to Buffalo Bridge
With the moonlight shining down there off the ridge
So damned hot we liked to burst into flames
The only thing left to save us was the Tennessee Rain
Well there ain't nothing else like a Tennessee Rain
Softer than a kiss it'll wash away the pain
hitting you so hard it can drive a man insane
No, there ain't nothing else like a Tennessee Rain
There's a certain something hanging in the air
Is it the honeysuckle vine or her long red hair
With the good Lord willing & the creek don't rise
We can keep in the truck & just might stay dry
The windows rolled up & her hair let down
Hearts are beating louder than the thundering sound
Well there ain't nothing else like a Tennessee Rain
Softer than a kiss it'll wash away the pain
hitting you so hard it can drive a man insane
No, there ain't nothing else like a Tennessee Rain
She pulls me closer as those clouds roll in
And our eyes meet one more time
Here comes that warm front now the sky starts to spin
Don't know where we're going
Just where we've been.
Well there ain't nothing else like a Tennessee Rain
Softer than a kiss it'll wash away the pain
hitting you so hard it can drive a man insane
No, there ain't nothing else like a Tennessee Rain
No, there ain't nothing else like a Tennessee
A Tennessee Rain

What Else Could You Do - Lee Gibson
Well, I sat alone most every night & thought of you
How much pain & misery can one person take
Then I take your picture out – tattered & torn in to
I’ve past the point of where my heart will break
There’s a telephone beside my bed that never rings
On the night stand, there’s some paper and a pen
What a fool I was to ever think you use those things
You’ve learned how to write me off since then.
You could’ve called
You could have listened
You might’ve heard these words I’ve said
You don’t know how much I’ve missed you
Now it’s killing me instead
There’s a part of me that says I can’t blame this all on you
Looks like you’ve tried so very hard
What else could you do?
You say that you needed me
Now you need some time
I should’ve seen that one come a mile away
But on more than one occasion girl, you’ve changed your mind
You never seem here to hear the words I say
You could’ve called
You could have listened
You might’ve heard these words I’ve said
You don’t know how much I’ve missed you
Now it’s killing me instead
There’s a part of me that says I can’t blame this all on you
Looks like you’ve tried so very hard
What else could you do?

Still There - Lee Gibson
I was raised in a small town
On the edge of Tennessee
Nothing much but trouble to get in there
Running down the boulevard
In an Oldsmobile
And chasing skirts never got me anywhere
It's just a small town with a small school
We were big kids just acting like fools
Running the roads & parking up on the square
And I'm still there.
I was ready to get tied down
When I was only 17
I met this girl & damn, I was nothing but blind
There ain't nothing else like your first love
In the southern summer heat
I think we fought just so we could make up all the time
I can still see her sitting next to me
Cuddled up on that ol' bench seat
Looking at her through the mirror
With her hands in her hair
And I'm still there..
And those little shops run by moms & pops
Just can't give me what I need
To find a way so I can pay
& make sure that I leave
out of there
It's still a small town with a small school
We still got kids just acting like fools
Running the roads & parking up on the square
And I'm still there..
Yea, I'm still there.

Somewhere Other Than Here - Lee Gibson, Megan Manly, Brian Beathard
We've been in this town too long
There ain't too much holding us here
Nothing left a random job
My lease was up last year
I can pack my bags and be gone
Pick you up at your parents at dawn
We're off - Straight to the sunset.
I've got that old white Ford gassed up
I had the oil changed last night
Nothing left here to my name to make me
Keep up this simple life
I've got'er running are you ready to go
Jump on in honey close that door
We're off & there ain't no turning back.
I'm gonna run like hell
Gonna feel my face in the wind
Don't care to see this town again
I'm gonna set my sights on the road
And find out where that goes
I wanna jump and have no fear
Of landing Somewhere Other Than Here
I've held off nearly all my life
From taking chances just like this
I don't care how far I go
Or where this journey ends
Don't wanna sit around & wait
Til we're too tied down &
Baby it's too late, no
I've got bigger plans this time...
I'm gonna run like hell
Gonna feel my face in the wind
Don't care to see this town again
I'm gonna set my sights on the road
And find out where that goes
I wanna jump and have no fear
Of landing Somewhere Other Than Here
